Your family can rent each jet ski for either ½ an hour or 1 hour and be sure to bring your camera with you. Of course, you don’t want to forget your swimsuits, towels, shades, and sunscreen before your time on the water. What a great new memory that every family can do when you visit the area!
All Hands-on Deck
Another fun day is heading to Wilmington for a quick trip onboard the Battleship North Carolina. This is a wonderful day trip and even a great educational trip too that all families love to check out. What was once used in combat during World War II is now a great local attraction that many loves to climb aboard. Here your family can step back in time as they learn of the history of the ship and become part of the crew for the day. Then when finished exploring the ship for the day, head over across the bridge and check out the waterfront of Downtown Wilmington. Old Baldy Lighthouse
Many locals who love to try something new with their own family is heading over to Bald Head Island for the day. Here is where your family can check out Old Baldy Lighthouse which is located on Bald Head Island. To be able to access the island you will have to take the Ferry over to it and there are many things you can do while there. Not only can you check out the oldest lighthouse, but you can also take a tour. No matter what you find to do on the island, you will want to be sure to bring with you a backpack, sunscreen, hats for everyone in the family and a camera. Horseback Riding
Another great option that you and your family can do is head on over to Grayce Wynds Farm Wild Horse Preserve in Supply, NC. This Wild Horse Preserve is one of the best ones on the coast of North Carolina and offers many people different experiences. From their farm tour to taking a day long ride to the Rachel Carson Reserve, there is something for everyone. Many times during the year they will offer different events that you can experience too.
