Holden Beach is one of the three beaches that make up the Brunswick Islands in coastal North Carolina. Here you’ll find mostly privately owned Holden Beach NC beach houses. There aren’t any buildings over 3 stories tall, no hotels, high rises, or resorts. Just a small shop or two, a couple of restaurants, and a couple of ice cream stands.
The beach here is never crowded. It is the sort of place where you can set your beach umbrella and chair up at the first of the week, and not move it until you’re ready to leave. The beach area tends to be wide and flat, so there is plenty of room to stretch out. At the western end of the island, the Holden Beach NC beach houses can be several yards from the beach due to the dunes. Each beach house sitting oceanfront has a private boardwalk over the dunes. In most parts of the island, beachfront means right on the beach – right down the steps from your deck.
??If you enjoy fishing you can do it from the pier. There is an area where you can park at the pier and there is a small fee to walk out on the pier.??Just over the bridge accessing the island are some attractions. Things like mini golf and beach shops, grocery store, pizza place, and other restaurants. Ocean Isle, and Sunset Beach are next door and places like Calabash is a short drive.
