Spend the day shopping but be sure to visit Island Art & Books, OIB Surf & Java and The Beach Mart.
Or hop in the car and go for a short road trip to Southport and Wilmington, NC, where you can enjoy the NC Maritime Museum at Southport, the Old Brunswick County Jail Museum, and definitely not to be missed, the Battleship USS North Carolina in Wilmington.
